Baton Twirling Trivia
Hawaii's very own, U.S. Representative, the late Patsy T. Mink, authored and co-sponsored the Title IX legislation, which mandates equal oportunities for women athletes. This legislation has opened the door to tremendous opportunities for women.
In 1999, Baton Twirling was officially named the 34th Jr. Olympic Sport. Today colleges, baton twirling associations and athletes continue to advocate baton twirling as a Collegiate and Olympic Sport. Baton twirling will open the door to morescholarships for women athletes.
It all begins in their youth, with your support, your child could one day become a Jr. Olympic Athlete!
